As of 1st September 2025 we welcomed Headteacher Phill Arrowsmith and
the team at Wirral Hospitals’ School.

The School is a highly-specialised and unique education provider, and it has
considerable expertise and experience in catering for some of the most
vulnerable young people on the Wirral. The School is judged to be
‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

“We are extremely excited to be joining The Skylark Partnership Trust (SPT).
Any change of status is a momentous decision for a school, but once we
heard about SPT and its values, we were completely sold!

As a school that has been Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ for over a
decade, it would have been easy to simply ‘carry on’.
However, we are always striving for improvements and
everything we have learned about the Trust, its Central
Team and its other Schools, makes us absolutely certain
that we will benefit greatly from our academisation; and
from both sharing and learning best practices from the other Schools within
the Trust.

This really does feel like a new, fresh start for the School and we
