GDPR

The Trust will handle a large amount of personal data. This includes information on pupils, such as grades, medical information, images and much more. The Trust will also hold data on staff, governors, volunteers and job applicants.

The Trust will also handle what the General Data Protection Regulation refers to as special category data, which is subject to tighter controls. This could be details on race, ethnic origin, biometric data or trade union membership.

The UK GDPR sets out the information we should supply and when individuals should be informed. We aim to supply the information you need about the processing of personal data so that it is:

  • concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible;
  • written in clear and plain language, particularly if addressed to a child; and
  • free of charge.
